File deletion policy

In one line

Your images never leave your device. Nothing is stored on a server, and both the originals and the results vanish from browser memory the moment you close the tab.

Article 1There are no files on our servers

Everything Image Converter NOW does — format conversion (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF, TIFF, JXL), compression, resizing, cropping, background removal, animated GIF conversion and PDF conversion — happens inside your web browser. Image and PDF files are never sent to a server, so there is no file on a server for us to delete in the first place.

Your originals and results exist only in your device's browser memory, and they are gone the moment you close the tab or leave the page.

Article 2How to verify this yourself

There are two ways to check this policy for yourself.

• Watch the network tab— open your browser's developer tools (F12), switch to the Network tab and run a conversion. No request uploading your image is ever made.
• Test it offline — open the page once, then disconnect from the internet. Conversion keeps working, which is the clearest proof that no server is involved.

Note — you may see analytics requests (/event) in the network tab. Those carry only which format you converted to and how many files there were — never image data and never file names. They are short pieces of text, around 200 bytes. Article 3 of the privacy policy covers this in detail.

Article 3What is stored in your browser

We do not store your files, but the following settings are kept on your device for convenience. They have nothing to do with your image contents and are never sent to a server.

• icn-settings-v1 — the conversion settings you used most recently
• icn-theme — your light/dark preference
• Offline cache — the codec and AI model files conversion needs (program files, not images)

Clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes all of the above.

Article 4Processing badges

Every file in the list carries a badge showing how it is processed. Today every file shows Processed in your browser. If server-side processing is ever introduced, only the files that use it will carry a separate Processed on a secure server badge.

Article 5If server-side processing is introduced later

This is not current policy — it is a commitment made in advance, in case features that genuinely need a server (such as very large files) are added. We will announce it on this page before any of it takes effect.

• Originals sent to a server are deleted automatically within 1 hour of conversion
• Results stay downloadable for at most 1 hour
• Files that fail to convert are deleted immediately
• Expired download links cannot be reused
• Image files are not kept long-term in any backup system
