Image Converter NOW

How to use

Image Converter NOW takes three steps — pick your files, choose a format, and convert.

  1. 1. Pick your images

Drag your images onto the dashed area on the home screen, or press 'Choose images' to select files. You can also copy a screenshot and paste it straight in with Ctrl+V. Up to 5 files at a time, 20MB per file.

  2. 2. Check the files

Once added, each file's format, size, resolution and whether it has a transparent background are detected and shown automatically. Every file carries a 'Processed in your browser' badge, which means the file is never sent to a server.

  3. 3. Choose an output format

Pick WebP, JPG, PNG or AVIF. For websites, WebP or AVIF give the smallest files; choose JPG when compatibility matters most, and PNG when you need transparency or lossless quality.

  4. 4. Set quality and size (optional)

Quality defaults to 'Recommended', and you can set it manually anywhere between 10 and 100. For size you can keep the original, fit to a width or height, enter exact dimensions, scale by percentage, or use a social media preset — the aspect ratio is kept by default.

  5. 5. Convert

Press the convert button and each file's progress is shown. If you are converting an image with a transparent background to JPG, you get to pick the background colour first (white by default).

  6. 6. Review and download

When conversion finishes you see how much smaller each file got, its resolution and how long it took. Download files one by one, or if you converted several, use 'Download all as ZIP' to save them together. On mobile, the ZIP download is the easier option.
